Assess the stone and site
Reviewing photographs, area and damage, with a site visit where needed to determine the approach and estimate.

Prepare and repair
Treating joints, cavities and damaged areas before continuing with the finishing stages.

Grind in stages
Using a sequence suited to the stone, checking the surface throughout the work with the KLINDEX system.

Finish, clean and hand over

How is stone polishing priced?
Area, stone type, damage, repair volume, materials and site access affect the cost. Send the city, approximate area and clear surface and joint photographs for an estimate. The final price follows an agreed scope.
Can every damaged stone be restored?
Restoration potential depends on the type and depth of damage and the stone's condition. We first assess whether grinding and repairs are sufficient or some areas need other work.
How long does the work take?
Duration depends on area, grinding stages, repair volume and material curing times. We agree the schedule after reviewing the project and site conditions.
What should be ready before the team arrives?
Clear furniture and belongings from the work area and coordinate water, electricity and access for equipment. Let us know about other construction work taking place at the same time.
How should I care for the finished surface?
Ask the team for care instructions and a suitable cleaner at handover. Cleaning products and the time before the surface can be used must suit the stone and applied materials.

Founded in 1988 by brothers Ercole and Enio Bibiano, KLINDEX designs and manufactures grinding and polishing machines, diamond tools and surface-care equipment. Its history includes developing natural-stone finishing systems using synthetic diamond pads.

AKEMI was founded by Erich Höntsch in Dresden, Germany, in 1933. Its expertise includes two-component polyester and epoxy adhesives and fillers, natural and engineered stone care, and sealants. Star Sab selects materials to suit each project.
